Don't anger the man! He's a freaking psycho. Yeah, I watched American Psycho and it scared the crap out of me. And it's also the closest thing to porn in my movie collection. But somehow, I find it hilarious. I think I need therapy.

Yeah, no updation in a while, but whatever, I don't care. I've been on vacation both physically and mentally for the past two weeks. I don't want to do anything at all even though I have so much crap to do. In my defense, however, I have been writing immensely on my new project Modern Day Jo. The story concerns a girl who loves Little Women but hates the ending, so she decides to right the wrongs of Louisa May Alcott and find her Laurie. Only, it's not that easy. Yeah, I thought it was a fun idea, so I went with it. Read it if you so desire.

In other news, I move in a week from today. I have to admit that I'm somewhat intimidated by the fact that I'm moving to a place where I know about eight people. It's kind of scary, but I'm sure that I'll be forced to make new friends. But I won't forget you guys!!! NEVER!!!!

Sunday, July 23, 2006

Alright, so here is a picture from Equilibrium, which I watched earlier this week, and all I can say is that I now want to go get a dog. Or maybe I truely just want to go out and get a Christian Bale. I don't think they sell those, though...

Yesterday was Angie Pritchard's wedding, and it was cute! Yay! Actually, it was really hot, so I could also describe it as sweaty and uncomfortable. I thought my dress was going to fall off, too. Chelsea caught the bouquet, so I guess that the legend is true. We ate lots of cake and acted like we were drunk. Nothing new there. But anyways, it was really cute, and I hope the best for Angie and Ben in the future.

Well, I thought that I was due for an update mainly because tomorrow I'm leaving for San Antonio with Chelsea and Tiffany. We are leaving at 6:30 in the morning, so I will probably be zonked the whole trip. That would be acceptable, but I have to do my driving shift sometime. Hopefully, I won't crash Tiffany's Vibe. That would be bad times infinity!

So, after we do all of our fun stuff and get back (hopefully still friends and not hating each other), Ms. Hudson is going to teach me the new routines so that I can be her trusty assistant! That should be fun. I just hope that I'm a good assistant. It's really going to be weird to be the teacher and not the student...crazyness...

Thursday, July 13, 2006

Alright, I seriously tried to keep this entry devoid of any Christian Bale-ness, but it didn't look right, so I dug up this picture from Little Women, where he played Laurie, and since I'm about to rant on that subject, it is most appropriate.

I feel kind of like ranting today, so I will subject everyone to something that I've been thinking about because I actually had a dream concerning it. Weird, huh? So anyways, the topic of discussion is the Louisa May Alcott's classic novel Little Women. I first read the novel when I was 8 or 9 years old in third grade. While other kids would pull out a Bearstein Bears book during silent time, I would lug Little Women out of my backpack. It was really crazy, and I think everyone was afraid of me. But anyways, here's what my rant is really about. Jo and Laurie did not get together in the end!!! What the heck? I consider this one of the biggest missteps in a novel ever, and it sometimes makes me hate the book/movies. They were best friends for crying out loud, and she flat out refused him. Stupid idiot! And then to top it off, Laurie marries Amy, the most annoying character in the whole book! I'm still fuming about the direction that the story took. Damn you, Louisa May Alcott!!!!

Alright, on some happier notes, we should be leaving for San Antonio soon. I have to say that I'm excited about the prospects of what we will do there. Water park, beach, and other stuff. However, I'm not that big into Texan boys. So, that might be slightly dissapointing. Alright, stract slightly, and make it hugely dissapointing. And in other news, I should be getting my new old car tomorrow. It's a Silver 2001 Pontiac Sunfire, which is the car that I've been wanting since I was thirteen. So, hopefully I'll be crusing for a brusing soon. Anyways, talk to everyone later!

Thursday, July 06, 2006

Alright, so I just watched Swing Kids, which depressed the heck out of me. Good movie, but geez, Christian Bale is a swing dancing Nazi! What the heck? Now I'm all depressed...

It's been a while since I've updated, but well, there's really never much to update with, so perhaps it's better this way. Anyways, here's some things that have happened.

1.)We had an official movie night. Finally! We watched Everything is Illuminated, which was a crazy crazy movie. All I know is that Grandpa got hit in the face with a gate. Then, we watched Newsies, which inspired about fifty-thousand inside jokes. I'll put them all in one set of parenthesis. (Pelvic Thrust!, Patch, Ripped, "Hiya Davey!", Little Tom Hanks, Crutch sucks!, "I'd have that same look on my face if Christian Bale was on top of me," Jail for Kids, "This movie sucks!", Evil Glare, and the weird guy with the weird look on his face.) Then, Chelsea and Tiffany left, so it was just me, Kristi, and Liz. We put on Batman Begins and talked really loud through the whole movie except for the shirtless scene.

2.) Monique came back to visit for the Fourth of July break from Guvnah's School. I ate some steak at her place and had some strawberry short cake but tried not to be "giddy" about the food. We sat around and talked about weird things, as usual, and Monique even broke out the big Cowboy hat. I did the Pelvic Thrust while wearing it. That was fun.

3.) Monique and Liz came over to my house, and we did a replay of Movie Night for Monique. Everything is Illuminated was still weird, and we still don't know how Grandpa got hit with the gate. Then, of course, we watched Newsies and slowed down certain scenes to get a better look at whatever the craziness was. We also decided that it would be cool to talk like New Yorkers, so we spent some time working on the accent. Monique still has some work to do, but otherwise I think we did a good job.

Other than the crazy parties, I haven't done very much. I've been reading Pride and Prejudice, which is a really good book. I've also been writing, which always makes me feel all good inside. So, I guess it's back to the grindstone until Pirates of the Caribbean comes out on Friday! Yay!

Thursday, June 22, 2006

Goofy Smiles All Around!!!

I think it's been a long time since I have updated, but I'm actually not sure when the last time was that I updated. I guess I should have checked that out before I started typing. Oh well!

Let's talk about some news. Well, uh, Chelsea is engaged to get married to Jason. I don't know on the date yet, but she said sometime between November and January. We went out looking at wedding dresses yesterday, and I think that Chelsea has narrowed it down to like 6 or 7 dresses. So, anyways, now we have to plan a wedding.

An entry of mine wouldn't be complete without an update on the movies that I have watched this past week. Well, to start the report off, I've had the pleasure of having a Christian Bale week. Yay! First off, I watched American Psycho (on TV, so it was all cut up, thank God!) which was disturbing beyond belief. Seeing Christian Bale run around naked with a chainsaw was slightly horrific even though he was ripped beyond believability! I also got to watch Newsies, which is his only musical. It was a lot of fun, and the songs were really good (except for one, which was annoying as heck). Otherwise, it was nice to see that Christian has the ability to sing and dance, too! Yay for him!

So, that's about all I have to say. There's some other stuff, but it might sound more like gossip than news, so I will keep my mouth shut till I find out more. Anyways, I hope that everyone's summer is fabulous!

Friday, June 16, 2006

This whole week I've been helping out up at Vacation Bible School at Second Baptist Church. I'm still not sure why they are called Second Baptist, and I also have no idea if Third Baptist exists. It's probably a long, long story. But anyways, my experiences there has led me to realize that kids get on my nerves! Of course, there are always a few that I like, but the rest are absolutely the most annoying creatures on the planet! One kid, named Austin, keeps dancing around like a maniac whenever they have Worship Rally and talking on endless loop about nothing at all in his annoying southern drawl. Yes, a kid can actually possess a drawl.

In other news, I want and saw The Break-Up with Chelsea a few days ago and wasn't entirely entertained by it. It was long, had only a few funny parts, and the fight scenes were completely uncomfortable. I guess it should be applauded for its stark realism in that area.

And that's about as exciting as it all gets. I'm going to start working on Sam's Madrigal dress, so that should be fun. Maybe. There's a lot of things that I should be doing (reading Bayou Farewell, writing Thank You notes, mowing Grandma's lawn, etc.), but instead, I'm typing on Xanga.

Friday, June 09, 2006

So, many of you (yeah, like two people) might be wondering what I have been doing with my summer so far. Well, I would like to inform you that I have been watching many movies (ok, like three), so I decided I might give my thoughts on what I picked up at the Mo Gal (Movie Gallery for the slow brains) a couple of days ago.

1.) Wedding Crashers: I must admit that I was more than skeptical when I picked this out. First of all, I am known for constantly putting Vince Vaughn down and accusing him of riding on the coattails of Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson. While I still stand by this accusation, I do think that he was absolutely the best part of the film! So, all in all, it was hilarious thanks to the Bill Murray-esque performance from Vaughn and the mere presence of Christopher Walken! It was a real surprise!

2.) The New World: For anyone that is a huge fan of Disney's Pocahontas, then you probably won't appreciate the realism found in this film. I have to applaud this movie for giving the straight story (minus a few details that were warped for good storytelling) of John Smith and Pocahontas. Yay! My only quip was with some of the directing and editing that often come across as confusing and a little too artsy (aka-a perfect Thurman film). However, the movie was saved by the great Christian (I'd Hit That) Bale in a subdued performance that almost made me cry! Ah, how sweet!

3.) Pride and Prejudice: I had heard a million things about this movie and was under the impression that it was a little too romantic for my personal movie tastes. However, I was really surprised at how much I liked it, and I credit most of it to Keira Knightley's performance and the beautiful directing and cinematography. Plus, the whole time I was thinking, "I wish that I had a guy like Mr. Darcy." So, I think that definitely says something about the impact of the movie.

Well, now that I'm done with those, I guess I have to rent some more good movies. Anyone know of any good ones?

Monday, June 05, 2006

*Cue Magestic Music*

I have just returned from the raging fantastic SOAR session at UCA!!!

Alright, so I'm sure most of you probably don't know what the heck SOAR is, so let me explain briefly. SOAR is short for Student Orientation and Registration. Well, that's what I imagine it is anyways because that's mainly what happened. And it was for Honors College kids, so basically it was way too many psuedo-intelligent people in one room. But anyways, it was pretty darn fun. Except my room was artic temperature and I had nightmares about flesh-eating zombies chasing me (Man, they were fast!). But other than that, it was pretty neat.

Now, as you all probably know, I enjoy scoping out hot guys. Now, I have to report that there weren't too many honors boys that captured my interest. Only a few that were cute. However, there were so many hot upperclassmen working on the SOAR staff that I don't want to waste everyone's time naming all of them!!! Holy crap!!!

*sigh*

I've got some serious issues...

Wednesday, May 31, 2006

Julie's Favorite X-Men Mutant Hotties (Tee Hee!):

Wolverine! Yay! But I couldn't find a good picture in the leather outfit. DARN!

And even though he's a bad guy, I love Pyro! Who can resist a man that can manipulate fire!

So, anyways, I went and saw X-Men 3 on Friday, and I must say that it was pretty good. It was so good that Wolverine almost got his pants blown off, but unfortunately it was only rated PG-13. Let's just hope the DVD has some unrated material. And also, Pyro got beat by Ice Man, which really sucked. What the heck!

Some strange dude sat right by me during the movie. Talk about an awkward moment.

Next Sunday marks the beginning of Orientation for College! Yay! Except I don't know what classes to take, and I'm hoping that there won't be any "Getting To Know You" games. And I also hope (of course) for hot smart guys with large bank accounts, cool cars, and super powers!

Wednesday, May 24, 2006

Being out of school has been a joy. I have seen at least twenty different guys find out that "They ARE the father" of baby Jerquawanadan. I saw the 15 year anniversary episode of The Jerry Springer show. I've read four books (at the least). And I've thought about mowing my grandmother's lawn. I think I might do it Tom Morrow.

Today, I got to help out at Color Guard tryout practice. It's a bit nerve-racking being on the other side of the fence because now I don't have to worry about how I do, it's about how everyone else does. I just hope that I don't confuse anyone with my baffling logic on how to do a swiss spin.

The Lost Party was over the weekend, and it was the best party ever. I think that we succeeded in getting everyone addicted to the show, but now I have people bugging me for the DVD. I only had it for a day actually. I also went and saw The DaVinci code yesterday with Sarah, Liz, and Monique. Yeah, it was really boring and uninspired, so I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

This Friday is the release of X-Men 3, which I am absolutely excited about! However, I don't look forward to seeing Jean Gray as Phoenix because when I was a kid and we would play X-Men, I was always Jean Gray. But whenever she died in the cartoon and was reborn as Phoenix (or whatever the heck occured), I was no longer allowed to be Jean Gray. So, it brings back some painfully dissapointing memories, but I still think it's going to be a great movie! Plus, Wolverine is hot as heck, and I have this theory that he makes me want to pee (ask if you dare!)!

But anyways, I have to find some people to go with first........
